Goethe Institute to host theatre workshop
An opportunity beckons for theatre enthusiasts and aspirants. This workshop, set to take place on Saturday 12th January 2014 at Goethe Institute from 10 am to 6pm, is open for both beginners and advanced practitioners ready to share their passion for theatre or simply aim at getting to know more about drama.
Through the medium of play, participants will get in contact with each other and exchange perspectives and attitudes. After some introductory warm-ups, they will examine topics evolving through conversation and interaction.
The workshop will be spearheaded by theatre director Jan-Christoph Gockel and actor Laurenz Leky who have finished collecting materials for a play based on the real story of a German mercenary fighting in the Cong in the 1960’s.
Through improvisations about this topic participants will create scenes to deliver variations of key topics thereby generating alternative realities.
The workshop day will culminate in a short public performance followed by a discussion with the audience. Participants will get the chance to take part in this workshop for free.
