Folk artist to promote Rwanda

The Rwandan rising star, Jali, will be performing at the “We got heart” concert this Saturday October 13, 2012 at Serena for the benefit of Rwanda Heart Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to the prevention of cardiovascular diseases in Rwanda.

Jali is a Rwandan-born Belgian-based singer and songwriter, who in the last few years, has built his career in Europe, winning the “Artist of the year” award at the Octave de la musique in Belgium. His first album “Des jours et des lunes” is certified gold in Belgium.

The 24-year-old folk singer describes his sound as “a round trip between the continent on which he was born and the one in which he was raised”. He will be performing with local artists such as Miss Shannel creating a festive ambiance, perfect for a Saturday night out.
