RWANDA : SHANEL INSISTS HER MUSIC CAREER IS STILL ALIVE
RnB female star Shanel has played down rumors that she has stopped singing and instead opted to venture into acting career, insisting that she can comfortably combine the two. Speaking exclusively to kigalirat.com, the beauty queen said that although she had taken a break from singing, she still has some songs which she is still working on.
Of late, the singer has gone quiet as far as singing is concerned, fuelling speculation that her singing career may have taken a dramatic twist, but Shanel says she’s very comfortable combining both acting and singing. She said, “It’s nothing much or special, considering the fact that as an artiste it’s very easy to do both since they are both almost in the same field.”
The conjecture about the singer stopping her music career did not stem from nowhere, with the star having appeared in numerous films and other theatrical shows, that many believe are generating more cash than singing. The female star features in Grey Matter, a film about the post Genocide trauma, written and directed by Rwandan movie maker KIVU Ruhorahoza. She was also spotted participating in Mboka, Rwanda’s first musical that was featured at Ishyo Cultural Centre in Kacyiru.
